When a Company from Qatar and a Siemens partner, wanted to get their Switchboards Type tested by ASTA and with a modular switchboard design, they approached MODUTEC in the year 2013. Drawings were finalized and our Panels were shipped to ERDA, Vadodara, India wherein ASTA have a collaboration. Modutec Switchboards passed the IEC 61439 Type Test for not just 1600A but also 2500A without deration, forced cooling & for 50kA for 3 secs.

The Director of this Qatar Company thereafter came to MODUTEC with his team and appreciated our efforts and shook hands with all our Heads of our Departments. Their team underwent training in our factory and then a series of 40 feet containers with our flat pack MODUTEC systems keep getting ordered at regular intervals.

An ABB Panel Partner from Dubai were frustrated with the delays and denials of the local welded enclosure suppliers. They found the European modular systems too expensive and delayed in availability. They heard of MODUTEC and came over. They found their solution and since then in 2015, 4 nos of 40 feet containers have been despatched to them and mutual business is on a growth track.

With Schneider Electric, in our sister concern, Load Controls India Private Limited, we are their biggest MV Panel Integration partners in South India. For Load Controls, MODUTEC supplies the Basic Kits incorporating the Schneider VCB along with the draw out mechanism, the shutter assembly and the spouts. Just like this Panel Builder then builds the balance of the Switchboard, incorporating the Bus Bars, CTs, PTs, LT Chamber along with the metering, protection, indications etc, so do other Panel Builders sourcing this Basic Kit from MODUTEC. Panel Builders find it economical to adapt to these Type Tested Basic Kits and scale their MV Business in a simplified manner.

When Eaton of USA wanted a Panel vehicle for India, they located us and liked our designs. They saw potential. They invested on Type testing MODUTEC Switchboards both in LV & MV with their Switchgear. We were excited. The LV Switchboard was with 4000A rating and here too the IEC 61439 Part 1&2 Tests were successfully passed with no derating of the Switchgear and for 65kA for 1 sec. Their MV Switchgear in our MODUTEC modular enclosure passed the test of IEC 62271-200 for 40kA for 3 secs, opening a new business pathway for MODUTEC as well. Other Principal Companies are in discussion with us to replicate this mutual win approach and these cases strengthen our resolve to grow and glow in these opportunities to serve the electrical industry.
